Many myths abound about hair extensions and if concerned, it is important that your mind is put at rest. Here we can inform you of only the facts:
Do hair extensions damage your hair?
It is only the Racoon system which has been scientifically tested to prove its hair extensions do not damage your hair. That is provided of course that the hair extensions are applied by a Racoon trained and certificated expert and the aftercare and maintenance regime is strictly followed.
Are they expensive?
No. Racoon hair extensions are great value and can be used again and again. With great salon care, Racoon hair extensions will last as long as you wish to wear them.
Are all hair extensions applied with glue?
Absolutely not. A gentle translucent bond is used to apply Racoon hair extensions. This bond, unique to Racoon International, is specially formulated to work on hair and is scientifically proven not to damage your own hair.
Is a keratin bond not better for the hair?
Absolutely not. Keratin is formed from essential amino acids and is found naturally in skin, hair, nails, hooves, horns and teeth. When added to a bonding substance, the keratin is unable to interact with the hair as both the hair and the keratin are inert.
Is the quality of different hair extensions all the same?
No. Racoon International's hair is the finest quality you can buy and it is only available at Racoon appointed salons, where it is applied by a fully trained Racoon certificated hair extensionist. Ethical sourcing is totally traceable and guaranteed.
Are extensions just for celebrities?
No. Hair extensions are for everyone and thousands of women wear them to achieve thicker hair. No one knows they are wearing them because once applied, Racoon hair extensions are virtually invisible. However, Racoon hair extensions are brilliant to recreate the many celebrity styles your clients request.
Are hair extensions just to add length?
No. Of course you can create full-on length but you can also use for fringes, colour, volume thickness and layers.
Can a client still have their hair coloured if they have hair extensions?
Yes they can. It is best for colour work to be completed prior to hair extensions application, but Euro hair extensions can be coloured (up to 6%) but great care must be taken not to overlap the colour onto bonds.
Successful woven high-lights or lo-lights are best achieved during the rotation period, with great results being achieved by highlighling just the top T-section.
