Eskape is a professional hair salon based in Ringwood. We provide full salon services including cutting, extensions, colouring and wedding packages. If you would like to find out more about what we offer please continue to enjoy and browse the website.

The team at eskape are a warm, friendly and welcoming bunch, and we thought it might be helpful, both for existing clients and new, to give a summary of who's who in the salon. These profiles were all written by the girls,each describing one another:

Heidi McShea-Spencer

Salon Director

Heidi is the leading light of, and inspiration behind, Eskape. A long-standing dream came true the day Heidi opened Eskape in November 2006, and this dream has flourished and grown into the relaxed, friendly and professional salon of today.

For newcomers to Eskape, Heidi is the tall, long-legged blonde, who somehow manages to survive working in high heels despite doing at least two 12 hour stints each week! She is currently sprouting an expanding bump as the first baby Spencer is due in April!

To sum Heidi up in seasonal terms:

Autumn finds Heidi wrapping herself in more and more layers as she is a very cold mortal, and in the rare times she sits at reception, a hot water bottle is invariably keeping some part of her anatomy warm!

Winter brings the excitement of Christmas, probably Heidi's favourite time of year, and everyone gets swept along, whether they like it or not, once the Xmas music is turned on & the mulled wine plug-ins & candles appear!

Spring is when Heidi's thoughts turn to her next "project", as the salon tends to be a little quieter - she hates doing nothing & always has to be organising something! This is a period of discussion and planning for the team, be it the next charity event, marketing strategies or, in this year's instance, a major overhaul of the website.

Finally summer, the happiest season as long as the sun makes a regular appearance! Heidi loves this time of year for the social aspect - BBQs or drinks after work with the salon girls, but unfortunately it also brings the dreaded wasps, of which Heidi is terrified. Clients who go to her in August & Sept learned long ago that they just have to be patient until the panic is over ie once our stripy, stingy friends have been dealt with. Most people find it fairly entertaining mind you!

So that's an overview of Heidi, who her staff think of as "the best boss ever", and likewise Heidi considers she has the best team ever!

Angie West

Receptionist / Manager / Mummy

Angie has experienced a mind-blowing and fabulous 4 years & 3 months since Eskape opened. I hope you have all had the pleasure of meeting Angie, Heidi's mum, if not I'm sure you will when you next pop in. She's always floating about the salon with the bakery and coffee in hand (we get many suprises Tuesday mornings with treats from Angie!)

Angie puts lots of hard work into the salon, covering reception, taking home towels for washing etc, but spends most of her time behind the scenes keeping the salon going and helping Heidi with all the things we take for granted & don't realise have to happen to maintain our fabulous working environment.

In it since the beginning with Heidi, when Eskape was still a dream before the reality, none of us would be able to experience that little bit of Eskape heaven if it weren't for Angie! Always happy & smiling, Angie gives a warm welcome to to all our clients, and can be counted on for help and support to us girls, whilst also keeping us on our toes!

Last but not least Angie is a wonderful lady and we would like to thank her for all her hard work in & out of the salon.

Alison Lassetter

Senior Stylist - Specialising in .....

There is only one word which I feel is most appropriate when describing Ali and that’s mad!!

Ali is most definitely the one that gives us all our energy, whether it be 8am on a Saturday morning or 9pm on a weekday evening, you can always rely on Ali to be bouncing around the salon, with a huge smile on her face. She most certainly brightens up the most miserable of days!!

Ali has worked in a hair salon from a very young age after getting a part time job whilst at school which then led to her carrying on in a full time role in the same salon where Heidi worked and completed a lot of her training. Since as long as she can remember Ali has always loved hairdressing and knew it was what she wanted to do in the future.

After working for many years in the same salon that she started in as a Saturday girl, she felt it was time for a change and left to carry on hairdressing as a mobile hairdresser. After doing this, Ali then found her path to us girls at Eskape and she soon joined as a member of the team!

Ali is one of the senior stylists at Eskape, and is great at what she does!! Whether it is hair ups, colour or simply a new stylish cut, all done with a friendly smiley face, Ali is your lady!

Lucy Oxford

Senior Stylist – Specialising in cut & hair ext.

Lucy is the organiser of the salon, keeping all the staff in check and ensuring the salon always runs smoothly.

Previously a PA, Lucy brings these skills into play daily and is often found scheming with Heidi about what the next project will be and how to continue to push the salon forward.

The rest of the time Lucy will be found grafting away every minute of her working day to ensure our clients are always catered for. Never will you see Lucy without a warming smile and welcoming air about her. A very valued member of the Eskape team, we consider her ourselves very lucky to have her and she is always a big hit with the clients, so book ahead if you want to see her!

Amie

Senior Stylist

Amie is one of our Racoon trained specialists. The service professional hair extension service using human hair for the most natural look. Amie is fantastic at her job, and can create beautiful locks from as short as 2 ½ inches. Amie is also trained in all aspects of hairdressing, is fantastic at her job and an all round talented young lady.

Amie has been with us for 2 ½ years and is the little sparkle behind the salon. Standing at only 5ft tall with gorgeous golden locks, she certainly stands out.

Amie always has that glint in her eye that keeps everybody smiling, with her bubbly sense of humour, cracking personality and beautiful charm that she brings with her every working day to the salon.

Amie is hard-working, a team player and nothing is ever too much for her. She will try her hardest to keep her clients happy throughout their visit to the salon. Behind all of her fabulous ideas she’s caring, thoughtful and very talented at what she does. Amie spends time on her clients to be certain they walk out smiling. Any idea you have, Amie can create, a true perfectionist!

Jade England

Senior Stylist

Jade has been involved in hairdressing since the age of 13 and it has always been a passion of hers. She joined the Eskape team in January 2011 as she felt in need of fresh challenges, and came from a salon in Ferndown (their loss is our gain!).

Now aged 21, Jade is fully qualified in all areas of hairdressing, and is looking forward to establishing her own clientele in Eskape, and applying her individuality to the styles she produces. She has won many awards in the industry, yet has still gone on to achieve more goals, always determined to get further, never one to stand still!

Jade can be spotted a mile off for her gorgeous flowing red hair; it’s all smiles with her – nothing fazes her – she’s hard working and lots of fun to have around! Jade has settled into Eskape very quickly and is already an important member of the team.

Bryony Treviss

P/T Salon Asst & Stylist Support

Bryony has been at Eskape for almost 3 years, and currently works on a Tuesday evening and Saturday during term time, but does more during the holidays. AT the moment she is in her last year at Ringwood Comprehensive School, studying for her ‘A’ levels.

From the moment she walks into the salon until she leaves, Bryony works exceptionally hard, ensuring everything is squeaky clean, the clients are comfortable and looked after, whilst also providing invaluable support to all the stylists.

The best thing about Bry, as we call her, is that she is always smiling! Nothing is ever too much trouble for her and she is always happy to help in whichever way she can. We know we are very lucky to have her working with us and she is a key member of the team!
